Speaker:
Matthew Holman, Owner and Mental Health Consultant, Simpila
11:25– 12:25 | Session 1 – Managing the unmanageable – practical ways to regain control of your hotel programme
Travel managers across the world grapple with the hotel category, attempting to enforce compliance, manage leakage and ensure quality and savings. But is the effort worth the return? Come hear how companies have successfully reinvigorated their hotel sourcing, delivering a consumer-like experience and most of all, achieving increased value for their organisations.
Speakers:
Paola Baggi, Head of Global Sourcing Sales and Business Development, HRS
Sabah Kahoul, Founder and General Manager, Business Travel Purchase
Valine Casagrande, Commercial Director, Hilton Zurich Airport
Nora Dauffy, Global Category Manager General & Corporate Services, Procurement, LafargeHolcim

12:30 – 13:45 | Networking Lunch
13:45 – 14:45 | Session 2 – Travel policy for a modern workforce
With many companies choosing to reduce, or in some cases remove travel policy altogether, this session explores how companies can move to a more Adult to Adult relationship with its travellers. Such approaches rely less on policy mandates, and more on influencing travellers to do the right thing, resulting in happier, better informed, safer and more productive employees supported by best-in-class technology.
Speakers:
Marina Hegemann, Managing Director, Tourist Mobile
Matthew Holman, Owner and Mental Health Consultant, Simpila
Sandro Montebove, Freelance Travel Management & Travel Procurement Expert/Consulting
Joël Piffaretti, Travel Project Manager, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)
14:45 – 15:45 | Session 3 – How can you drive both savings and a better traveller experience?
How to enable traveller experiences that will help drive compliance without breaking the budget. Having a programme that travellers will buy into does not necessarily mean a policy of five-star hotels and premium air tickets: a critical key to ‘happiness’, productivity and compliance is a pain-free end-to-end process…
The booking process – if this is seamless, easy, quick and stress free to use, travellers will be happier to comply. Booking tools: is it easy to be compliant? Does the OBT display the best choices clearly and make them easy to select and book? Too much choice or too little? Stress-free expense management: is the technology intuitive, integrated and user friendly? Your communications: are they regular? Do travellers receive training and updates on how to use tools and services? Do they feel safe and supported? Do they understand why complying with policy is good for them and good for the business? Technology & data: tools and products designed to make life easier for traveller and travel manager
Should you measure and benchmark engagement and compliance?
Speakers:
Koen Bavinck, COO & Co-founder, Roadmap™
Christophe Zimmerli, Head of Travel Services, F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG
Nora Dauffy, Global Category Manager General & Corporate Services, Procurement, LafargeHolcim
