Daily there is news about the Ebola crisis. So it’s not surprising that the uncertainty grows. Companies and enterprises, in particular the Corporate Security Managers, as well as the Travel Managers are required in the current crisis. Besides the fact that employees are recalled from the endangered areas, one must also deal with the question whether and to what extent the travel activity should be restricted in the risk areas. For this purpose there should be different opinions and judgments on the part of the company.
An objective assessment promises International SOS, a company that specializes on health care, medical advice and travel safety services. Two webinar data are available. Under the title “Ebola – Outbreak and Development”, the following topics will be outlined:
- Assessment of the current situation
- What should organizations and their employees know?
- Recommendations for action

- Dr. Stefan Esser, Regional Medical Director, International SOS
- Stephan Gabriel, Regional Security Manager, International SOS und Control Risks

Certainly a good opportunity to get useful information and tips from industry professionals.
On the part of the large TMCs there is hardly any proactive communication with their own customers – at least not on their websites. So far it is limited to the links to WHO and the center of disease control and the hint that there are increased security checks at the airports in the United States and Great Britain. Once the first advices will be given from that side we will certainly point that out.
Update (17.10.14)
