This years Business Travel Show / Travel Technology Europe and the ITB 2019 are history. At travelBrain we now have started to focus on the planning for some the local Swiss events scheduled for the rest of the year. One of them is the ACTE Education Forum to be held for the first time in Basel at the SET Residence by Teufelhof on 27 June 2019.
The prep work for the 2019 event is in full swing. The organising committee led by Stephanie Smook together with the Advisory board is currently finalising the agenda for Basel. The ACTE motto for 2019 is “Practical Approaches to evolve your Travel Programme to Modern Challenges”. Chris Pouney our smart colleague from Brexit-Land, who will again moderate the event has confirmed that detailled sessions program shall be available within the next days.
The event will be launched by a one hour Travel Manager-only workshop before the suppliers and consultants are allowed to join the party.
As of today the agenda looks as following:
09:15 – 09:30 | Registrations for Pre-Forum Travel Managers Session
09:30 – 10:30 | Pre-Forum Travel Managers Only Workshop
10:15 – 10:45 | Forum Registrations and Networking Coffee
10:45 – 11:00 | Welcome & Opening
11:00 – 11:15 | Business Travel Trends
11:15 – 12:15 | Session 1 – Managing the unmanageable – practical ways to regain control of your hotel programme
Travel managers across the world grapple with the hotel category, attempting to enforce compliance, manage leakage and ensure quality and savings. But is the effort worth the return? Come hear how companies have successfully reinvigorated their hotel sourcing, delivering a consumer-like experience and most of all, achieving increased value for their organisations.
12:15 – 13:45 | Networking Lunch
13:45 – 14:45 | Session 2
14:45 – 15:45 | Session 3
15:45 – 16:00 | Wrap-up and closing
16:00 – 17:00 | Networking Reception
The ACTE event website is constantly updated with the latest news around topics and speakers. You can also register right on that site. Apart from interesting presentations and panel discussions I am sure there will be lots of opportunities for networking. I am delighted to meet many of you in Basel and look forward to an amazing event. In case you cannot join there will most certainly be a summary here on our blog.
